Surgical/Internal Medicine ward and Women/Maternity ward
It is located five minutes away from the Dutch capital Philipsburg (using Link One Road), ten minutes away from Simpsonbay and fifteen minutes away from the French capital, Marigot.
Buses: There is no organized bus system on the island, however, many private buses travel along the islands main roads and mostly, you only wait a few minutes before one comes along. There are fewer buses at night, so another form of transportation would be recommended. Unfortunately busses do not travel along Welgelegen Road where the hospital is located, but do travel on the AJC Brouwersweg; therefore you will have to get off the bus at the beginning of Welgelegen Road near the blue “H” sign and walk ten minutes to the hospital.
Taxis: Taxis will take you directly to our main entrance.
If you are approaching from the AJC Brouwersweg (Colebay Hill to Le Grand Marche Supermarket) the turnoff to Welgelegen Road is marked with a blue "H" (Hospital) sign. If you are approaching from Link One (Divi Hotel to Colebay Hill) the turnoff to Welgelegen Road is at the first roundabout, located in Cay Hill. The hospital is immediately adjacent to the roundabout.
There is a parking lot surrounding the hospital building allocated to patients and visitors. This is free of charge. During peak morning hours, where visiting hours coincide with outpatient services, parking may spill over to the Raoul Illidge parking lot adjacent to the hospital.
